Surrounded by trees, wildflowers, and fresh mountain air, it feels like a quiet little escape. It’s simple, stunning, and raw in the best way. If you want your wedding to feel like a retreat in the woods, this is the one.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a wedding videographer, it’s that the venue sets the tone for everything. The light, the vibe, the background, it all shows up in your final film. And Southern California has some of the dreamiest spots I’ve ever worked at. Number one on my list is Ole Hanson Beach Club in San Clemente. I am obsessed with this venue. It’s perched right on the water, and the way the sun sets over the ocean feels like pure magic. The Spanish-style building gives it that classic SoCal charm, and the outdoor reception space is open, breezy, and perfect for golden hour portraits. Every time I film there, it feels effortless, like the venue itself is doing half the work for me.

Second is Jeune Perche Estate in Fallbrook. Nestled in rolling hills, it feels peaceful, elegant, and just a little bit hidden away. The Spanish-style building gives it a timeless charm, and it’s perfect for couples who want an outdoor wedding with an upscale yet natural vibe. The light here is golden and glowy, and if you care about that (which you should), this venue delivers every time.
